Jordan Construction

KOLON Global (President Yoon Chang-woon) announced on Oct. 11 that it received a letter of acceptance (LOA) from the Jordanian government for a conduit line construction project in southern Amman. The construction cost amounts to 95 billion won (US$89 million).

Launched by the Jordan Water Authority, the project is to build 364 km of sewage lines for 27 months in the capital city region. The company is expecting that the construction will help prevent groundwater contamination and improve the local water quality. In particular, the project is based on the Economic Development Cooperation Fund (EDCF), and higher stability is guaranteed in the bill collection and construction processes.

Previously, KOLON Global had participated in the project for a sewage disposal plant in Madaba in 2002. Six years later, it built similar facilities in southern Amman, too. It is currently moving ahead with multiple similar projects in Vietnam, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, and Ghana.
