President Park Geun-hye met with Cote d'Ivoire President Alassane Ouattara in Seoul on Oct. 7, asking for assistance and cooperation for Korean companies’ US$3.4 billion SOC projects in Cote d'Ivoire.

There, the two presidents discussed how to work with each other the urban railway and expressway construction projects, oil exploration block development in the southeastern coast, and projects in the pharmaceutical and agricultural sectors.

Also, they signed an MOU for greater economic cooperation, mutual exchange, and investment expansion. Based on the MOU, the two governments will set up private economic cooperation channels, send trade delegations, open KOTRA trade centers, and hold industrial cooperation forums.
