With the theme “Healing Concert: A Fine Day in October,” the Hearts of Vision Chamber Orchestra, the only orchestra in the world made up of visually-impaired musicians, is performing at the Seoul Arts Center on Oct. 25. The Hearts of Vision Chamber Orchestra is organized by the Social Welfare Corporation Walk Together and sponsored by the POSCO Foundation, Korea Development Bank, Kyobo Life Insurance, and Hanmi Global.

Because some members of the orchestra are unable to read music sheets, they have to memorize about one hundred music pieces in their heads to perform. The concert will be comprised of popular classical music pieces like “Die Fledermaus Overture” by J. Strauss II, “Waltz No. II from Jazz Suite” by Shostakovich, “Nessun Dorma” by Puccini, and “All I Ask of You” from “The Phantom of the Opera.” Also, the performance will be complemented by commentary by Seo Hui-tae, the art director of MBC’s popular miniseries “Beethoven Virus” and the art director and conductor of Millennium Symphony Orchestra.

Tickets can be purchased through Seoul Arts Center by calling 02-580-1300 or logging onto its ticket purchasing website at www.sacticket.co.kr. For inquiries, call Koreana Management at +82-2-3487-0678.
