Caffe Bene (CEO Kim Sun-kwon) opened its first cafeteria in Vietnam in the Dong Khoi Street, one of the busiest streets in Ho Chi Minh City.

The opening ceremony was attended by the CEO, Ho Minh Hoang, who is the head of the local partner MH Group, and many more. Many local news channels joined the ceremony, and more than 2,000 young people visited to see Lee Jong-seok, a famous Korean actor who participated in the event.

The 341.8 m2-wide cafeteria is located at the center of Dong Khoi Street, where hotels, classy restaurants, popular brand shops, and offices are concentrated. A lot of better-off Ho Chi Minh citizens and foreign tourists are expected to visit the place.

The Dong Khoi branch is an open-air café decorated with the concept of Europe of the 19th century and a modern vintage interior style. Tables are separated, and books decorate the place as a creative culture space. It serves lime juice, pomelo juice, mango gelato, waffles, ice flakes, and the like to suit the taste of the locals.

“We are planning to open two more localized branches in Ho Chi Minh in the near future,” one official at the company said, adding, “By 2018, we will increase the number to at least 300 across Vietnam to become the number one cafeteria brand in the country.”
