Samsung Electronics participated in New York Fashion Week as an official sponsor. The event was held at Lincoln Center, New York from Sept. 4 to 11 (local time). The company was engaged in a variety of activities, including running the Samsung Galaxy Lounge.

The Korean tech giant announced on Sept. 10 that it showcased its numerous new products previously unveiled in Berlin on Sept. 3, including the Galaxy Note 4, the Galaxy Note Edge, the Gear S, and the Gear VR, during New York Fashion Week.

As an official sponsor of New York Fashion Week since 2013, Samsung is leading the effort to cooperate with the IT industry and fashion brands. Previously, the company was actively working with various fashion brands like Alexander Wang, Moschino, and Nicholas Kirkwood.

Samsung announced its collaboration with Diesel Black Gold this time, after its cooperation with Swarovski and Mont Blanc in Berlin.

The Korean company revealed leather straps for its Gear S, which was reinterpreted in Diesel Black Gold's style. It also shot a Diesel fashion show as 360 degree content for the Gear VR.

Each day, more than 1,000 people visited the Samsung Galaxy Lounge to experience the Galaxy Note 4, the Gear series, and various accessories made in collaboration with fashion brands.

Meanwhile, Samsung announced that it hosted the Tech X Fashion Talk on Sept. 6 to discuss the direction for collaboration between wearable devices and fashion. Influential panels like Carine Roitfeld, Stephan Kang, and Andrea Rosso and representatives of major media were invited.
