Thinnest Metal Frame

 

On Sept. 2 Samsung Electronics announced that it will debut the Galaxy Alpha through three mobile carriers on Sept. 3. The new Android phone is only 6.7 mm thick, making it the thinnest smartphone introduced in the country.

The new model is aimed at consumers sensitive to trend and style. It has generally the same functionality as the rest of the Galaxy series, but this time in a metal case.

The premium design of Samsung's new handset showcases the processed metal frame that comes in three colors – “charcoal black,” “frost gold,” and “dazzling white.” The thin design gives users a good grip and portability. The Galaxy Alpha offers a great user experience.

Equipped with a 4.7 in. HD superAMOLED display, the new LTE-A phone is three times faster than LTE phones. Using an octa-core processor with better functionality and battery efficiency, the phone performs well when executing advanced applications. The phone has 2GB of RAM, a 1860mAh battery, and a 12 megapixel camera. It also sports a heart rate sensor, an S Health app, quick auto-focus, and HDR. The phone can sync with wearable devices such as the Gear 2 and the Gear Fit. The launch price is 748,000 won (US$733.85).
