A Talk Concert for Teenagers and College Students

As part of its push for ESG management, LG Chem will hold a talk concert to raise people’s awareness of environmental issues and the importance of responding to energy and climate change.

LG Chem said it will hold the "Green Festival" where five celebrities will give online lectures from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. on March 13.

The Green Festival is part of the company’s "Like Green" campaign, which is aimed at fostering teenagers and college students as global leaders in the environment sector.

The first event will feature five celebrities as speakers including Lee Jung-mo, director of the Gwacheon National Science Museum, Jang Yi-kwon, professor of life science at Ewha Womans University, Tyler Rasch, a popular TV personality, Kim Sang-wook, a professor of the Physics Department at Kyung Hee University, and Ahn Sung-jin, an earth science teacher on EBSi Channel.

In particular, Tyler Rasch will walk audiences through easy methods to use in their daily lives, such as reducing meat consumption to protect the environment under the theme of “Climate Crisis –- Lives’ and People's Crisis." Tyler, a greenfluencer himself, is informing people of the seriousness of environmental problems as a goodwill ambassador for the World Wildlife Fund (WWF).

"We have prepared this event to lead the general public to think about global environmental problems and seek solutions," said Park Joon-sung, an executive director of LG Chem's International Cooperation Division. “We will steadily carry out various activities at the corporate level in the field of ESG such as solving environmental problems.”
