Five Shipping Companies Offer Service on New Route
Incheon Port Authority (IPA) announced on Feb. 25 that the North China Malaysia eXpress (NCX) service was launched on Feb. 24 to connect Korea, China, Singapore and Malaysia.
The first ship deployed for the NCX service is XPress Kailash, a container ship registered in Singapore. It entered the Hanjin Incheon Container Terminal (HJIT) at Incheon New Port on Feb. 24. A total of five shipping companies will operate four 2,100 TEU ships on this new shipping line to offer service once a week. The ships will make a call at Incheon, Dalian, Tianjin, Qingdao, Singapore, Port Klang, Shenzhen and Incheon.
Among the five shipping companies, X-Press Feeder and Gold Star Line did not previously stop at Incheon Port. They will deploy their ships by taking a turn every five months. IPA says the new shipping service will increase choices for customers using Incheon Port.
Shipping companies that will provide service on the route in the first five months are X-Press Feeders (Hong Kong), KMTC (Korea), SITC (China), and Regional Container Line (Thailand). In the next five months, the shippers are Gold Star Line (Israel), KMTC (Korea), SITC (China), and Regional Container Line (Thailand).
