It has been found that Samsung Fine Chemicals pays the highest average salary among all of the 20 subsidiaries of the Samsung Group in the first half of this year.

According to the Financial Supervisory Service’s analysis, Samsung Fine Chemicals paid an average of 46 million won (US$44,992), before earned income deductions, to its executive and staff members during the first half of the year. The rate was followed by Samsung C&T (44 million won, US$43,048), Samsung Electronics (43 million won, US$42,057), Samsung Total (42 million won, US$41,091), Samsung Life Insurance (40 million won, US$39,138), Samsung Techwin and Samsung SDS (both 38 million won, US$37,181), Samsung Securities (36.72 million won, US$35,929) and Samsung SDI (36 million won, US$35,214).

Samsung Electronics that recorded the highest average pay for registered directors, however, paying 21.543 billion won (US$21.079 million) to its four registered directors, and 11.345 billion won (US$11.101 million) went to representative director and President Shin Jong-kyun of the IT and Mobile Division.

The average pay for registered directors topped 1 billion won in Samsung SDI (1.338 billion won, US$1.309 million) and Samsung C&T (1.02 billion won, US$998,029), too. Samsung SDI President Park Sang-jin received 1.969 billion won (US$1.926 million) and Samsung C&T President Kim Shin 1.581 billion won (US$1.547 million). The average for registered directors in Samsung Fine Chemicals totaled 264 million won (US$258,289).
