Samsung Electronics has sold approximately 10 units of its 105 inch curved ultra HD TVs in Korea after about three months. The product is priced at 120 million won (US$116,428), and sales by subscription started in April 22 this year.

“The demand for this product has been quite high in North America and the Middle East, but it is available only by order production in Korea due to the very high price,” the company explained.

Earlier this year, Samsung Electronics released a flat 110 inch ultra HD TV and priced it at 160 million won (US$155,174). Its first customer was a royal family in the UAE. VVIPs in the Middle East pre-ordered 10 units of the product as well.

In the meantime, LG Electronics has sold its own 105 inch curved ultra HD TVs since July 31. They are asking 120 million won (US$116,428) too. “The sales record is zero yet, with only a week having passed since the kickoff of the subscription sale, but a couple of requests are coming in each day nowadays,” said LG Electronics.
