Samsung Electronics released 40 and 48 inch Samsung Smart Signage TVs on August 11. The main target customers of the products, into which digital information displays and advertising functions are incorporated, are small firms and self-employed proprietors.

The signage TVs’ features include not just watching programs, but also the promotion of products, delivery of information, and the display of welcome messages. With the TV, store owners can produce and show whatever types of information that they wish. For example, baseball broadcasting, menus, and special events can be shown at the same time in a restaurant.

The signage TV comes with both PC and mobile versions of the Magic Info Express Solution, too. Samsung claims that the solution makes other PCs or software for producing or reproducing business content redundant. More than 200 free design templates and sample images are provided for professional content production.

Such content can be transmitted immediately on PCs, mobile devices, or via USB or WiFi. The TV is designed to be usable for up to 16 hours a day, and a two-year free warranty is provided with it. The 40-inch RM40D and 48-inch RM48D are priced at 1.05 million won (US$1,018) and 1.37 million won (US$1,326), respectively.
