Black Gold Mine

GS E&C announced on March 7 that after winning the contract in 2010, the company had successfully produced 120 modules required for the project at Sungchang plant, Mokpo, South Cholla Province, and shipped them in Mokpo Harbor.

The project involves the construction of a central processing facility and other facilities surrounding it, which is designed to refine oil in the Black Gold Mine in Conklin, Alberta, Canada.

The Engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) project currently under way is set to finish by the end of next January.

In particular, 120 modules were produced domestically and then transported to the project site for installation.

GS E&C embarked on producing modules last May, and the last module was produced and shipped in Mokpo Harbor. The module is scheduled to arrive at Huston Harbor a month later, on April 6 and to be installed at the site at the end of May following its arrival at the final destination via inland transportation of about 4,600km.
