The Ferrari California T made its debut in Korea on July 2 at the Beyond Museum located in Cheongdam-dong, Seoul. “We did not concentrate on the Korean market until as recently as a few years ago, but now we are planning to allocate more cars for sale in Korea,” said Far East Managing Director Giuseppe Cattaneo at the unprecedented Ferrari launching show.

The California T is one of the major entry-level cars of the company. It is the follow-up of the California released six years ago. Seventy percent of the customers who bought the California last year were first-time Ferrari buyers.

The California T is priced at 270 million won (US$267,418). Many people are paying keen attention to the sales volume of the pricey car. Unfortunately for them, the Italian carmaker is not registered with the Korea Automobile Importers & Distributors Association, and therefore it is impossible to find out the sell-through. The automaker itself does not reveal the figures, either. According to the statistical data of the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure & Transport, a total of 482 Ferraris were registered in Korea until last year.
