The Smart Geospatial Expo 2014 will be open for three days starting Aug. 25 at COEX. This will be its 7th this year. This exhibition is the place to promote Korea’s spatial information industry, both domestically and internationally, and is filled with events like industry exhibitions, an employment and entrepreneurship support center, high-level meetings among specialists in spatial information, and an international conference to create business opportunities.

In addition, the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport (MOLIT) is holding an idea competition on spatial information usage from July 14 to Aug. 25 to encourage people's interest in space and stimulate the usage of spatial information.

This competition is one of the events in the world-class Smart Geospatial Expo 2014, which includes the exhibition of new technology and products related to spatial information, a high-level ministerial forum, entrepreneur exhibition, and international conference. It is divided into four categories, which are “app development,” “big data usage,” “spatial information policy proposals,” and “best practices of spatial information usage.” Everyone who is interested in spatial information can participate.

Those who wish to participate should submit an application for participation and finished work from July 14 to 25 at the Smart Geospatial Expo 2014 webpage, www.smartgeoexpo.kr.
