KT announced on Sept. 14 that it has signed a business agreement with GC Healthcare to jointly develop and commercialize digital healthcare services.

GC Healthcare is a subsidiary of Green Cross Holdings and provides differentiated and personalized healthcare services based on ICT technology such as big data and artificial intelligence (AI). KT established the AI/DX Convergence Business Division in 2020 to help companies in various industries embrace digital transformation based on an “ABC” platform. ABC stands for artificial intelligence, big data and cloud.

Under the agreement, the two companies will combine KT's ICT platform with GC Healthcare's healthcare service capabilities to jointly develop digital healthcare services that can lead the market. Major areas of cooperation are the development of health care services based on an ABC platform, the provision of health care services using 5G and IPTV, and the promotion of joint marketing.

KT will be responsible for the development of healthcare platforms and solutions that utilize ICT capabilities, while GC Healthcare will focus on providing services based on its experience in offering healthcare services and analyzing healthcare data. Cooperation between the two companies is expected to create non-face-to-face personalized healthcare services.
