According to the 2014 Customer Loyalty Engagement Index released by US-based customer loyalty and engagement consultancy Brand Keys, the Hyundai Motor Company nabbed the top spot in the automotive category, together with Ford. Mercedes-Benz, Lexus, and Jeep occupied the runner-up position at the same time. 

The index is a barometer that shows how long current customers can be maintained, which targeted 32,000 customers in the US this year.  

Another bit of good news for Hyundai is that its new Genesis also became the first passenger car to get perfect scores in all 29 categories of a collision test recently conducted by the Insurance Institute of Highway Safety (IIHS).
