One-click Support from Marketing to Export

The Korea International Trade Association (KITA) is holding a special exhibition for electronics, "K-Tech Fair 2020," on 'tradeKorea.com,' an online B2B export support platform.

The online exhibition is designed to provide export opportunities for Korean IT companies that are unable to participate in offline exhibitions due to the COVID-19 outbreak.

Under the special theme of IT products, the fair introduces about 70 major products of 30 Korean small and medium-sized enterprises with a history of participating in CES, MWC, and IFA, the renowned overseas exhibitions for promising electronic goods.

Since the beginning of this year, the association has been operating online exhibitions under a different theme every month. In May, IT and electronic goods are featured. While exports of most items are currently declining due to the spread of coronavirus, computers, electronics, and optical equipment are regarded as promising items as their import and export prices indexes are on the rise for three consecutive months.

Kim Hyun-chul, head of the Global Marketing Group at KITA, said, "A number of fairs and consultations at home and abroad have been canceled or postponed due to the spread of COVID-19, and we are trying to meet these demands via online." He also added, “We foresee that the influence of online platforms in the global market will continue to expand even after the coronavirus crisis, and we will fully utilize our resources such as overseas networks and online export platforms to meet the needs.”

The online exhibition for electronic equipment opened this month can be accessed in “TRADE SHOW” category on the TradeKorea website (www.tradekorea.com).
