CSX 45% Owned by Korea Exchange

Korea Exchange (KRX) announced on May 25 that ACLEDA Bank, Cambodia's largest commercial bank, has been listed on Cambodian Stock Exchange (CSX).

KRX established CSX in 2010 through joint equity investment with the Cambodian government. KRX holds a 45 percent stake in CSX, with the remainder owned by the Cambodian government. CSX opened in April 2012.

As of the end of 2019, ACLEDA Bank’s total assets stood at US$6.18 billion, three times the market capitalizations of the five companies listed on CSX.

"We expect the listing to rev up the Cambodian stock market by attracting new investors and stimulating foreign investors’ interest in CSX," said a KRX official.
