Marking 5th Anniversary
Korea’s best "hanok" (traditional Korean house) hotel Gyeongwonjae Ambassador Incheon celebrated its 5th anniversary in May. Opened In May 2015, Gyeongwonjae Ambassador Incheon is the first large hanok hotel set up at the center of a city. It has now established itself as a “small Korea in Korea” that provides high-quality services based on the beauty of Korean architecture.
In 2016, it became the first hanok hotel to receive five stars by passing new rating criteria set by the Korea Tourism Organization and took the honor of being selected as the best accommodation in the 2016 Korea Tourism Star Awards hosted by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism. Subsequently, the hotel has been recognized as one of the best hotels in Asia by the world-class hotel chain Accor Group, and won the “Hotel of the Year 2017” Prize.
The hotel also offers products that connect tourist attractions and allow customers to experience traditional Korean culture. In particular, it introduces traditional Korean culture through traditional wedding ceremonies, runs traditional culture experience spaces, develops new menus in the tradition of the royal court cuisine and, creates new programs that harmonize past and modern cultures.
To mark the fifthe anniversary, Gyeongwonjae Ambassador Incheon will hold the 1st Birthday Memories at Gyeongwonjae (BGM) promotion until May 28. The event is designed to provide customers with a place where they can take photos of their babies for their first birthdays. The shooting locations are Yeongbin Hall with a luxury birthday table, Daon Madang (Ground), and Yeongdang Madang (Ground), where you can take photos against the backdrop of a traditional Korean house.
Customers will be able to freely shoot photos for two hours by selecting their favorite time from Monday through Friday. This promotion will retail at 300,000 won (including tax). Customers can find more information at the Ambassador Hotel Group’s integrated reservation site.
Gyeongwonjae Ambassador Incheon is owned by the Incheon Free Economic Zone Authority and run by Accor Ambassador Korea. It is the only Korean house-themed hotel that won five stars through evaluations by the Korea Tourism Organization.
