LG Electronics announced on April 28 that it will launch its strategic smartphone LG Velvet on May 15.
The LG Velvet is characterized by high-level design elements such as a water drop-shaped camera and three-dimensional (3D) arc design. Waterdrop Camera places three rear cameras and a flash in a vertical direction as if they were falling water droplets. The model uses a Cinema Full Vision Display with a 20.5 to 9 aspect ratio on a large 6.8-inch screen. Despite its large screen, it is only 74.1 mm wide.
The display uses a 3D arc design with slightly bended left and right ends. This design widens its contact surface that comes into close contact with the hand, giving users a great gripping feel. Its bezel is made of metal and creates a luxurious and solid image. Each corner has a balanced design that gives a sense of stability in a gentle horn shape.
The LG Velvet supports stereo speakers and artificial intelligence sound to maximize immersive video watching. The stereo speakers allow users to enjoy rich sounds by adjusting the left and right volume balance when enjoying contents such as videos and games. The Artificial Intelligence Sound function automatically analyzes contents being played and sets optimal audio quality.
The LG Velvet has three cameras on the back — 48 million pixels (standard), 8 million pixels (ultra wide), and 5 million pixels (depth), so you can take photos and videos from various angles to create wonderful landscape photos and portraits. Even in low light conditions, it is possible to obtain clean image quality thanks to quad binning technology, which shoots four pixels in one bundle.
When shooting a video with the model, noise and voice can be separated and adjusted individually. This is the “Voice Out Focus” function. For example, on a windy beach, you can reduce wind noises and record your voices clearly. It also has an autonomous sensory meridian response (ASMR) function. Running this function during a video shooting maximizes the sensitivity of the LG Velvet’s two high-performance microphones and record vivid sounds.
The new sleek smartphone from LG is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 765 5G. It also supports various exclusive accessories such as LG Dual Screen and a stylus pen. With the dual screen accessory, you can play a game on one screen and watch a video on the other screen. Its battery capacity is 4300 kW.
