A High-performance Budget Phone
Apple's budget model iPhone SE is set to debut in Korea. The iPhone SE carries a low price tag of 550,000 won but is thought to be as good as the premium model iPhone 11 in terms of performance.
The three major mobile carriers in Korea will begin to receive pre-orders for the iPhone SE on April 29. They are expecting a surge in demand during the long holidays in early May. The official release date is set at May 6.
The iPhone SE features a premium processor. Like the premium phone iPhone 11, it is equipped with the Bionic A13 chip. The price of the iPhone 11 is much higher than that of the iPhone SE, but they have the same processor performance.
The iPhone SE is loaded with a 4.7-inch liquid crystal display (LCD) and has a home button on the front. The model features a 12 million-pixel single camera on the back and a seven-megapixel camera on the front. It also has a shooting function exclusive for portrait photography.
The iPhone SE continues to enjoy strong sales in the United States and China ahead of hitting the Korean market. As demand soared, the iPhone SE's waiting time in the United States increased to more than two weeks.
