In Collaboration with Mitsubishi Corp. of Japan

Hyundai Engineering announced on April 22 that it has won the US$340 million Datan Combined Cycle Power Plant Expansion Project from Taiwan.

The project is designed to expand Unit 7 of Datan Power Plant located about 50 km west of Taipei, the capital of Taiwan. Hyundai Engineering will install a steam turbine generator with a capacity of 300 ㎿.

The project is the first power plant project in Taiwan to be carried out by Hyundai Engineering. The company landed the order through collaboration with Mitsubishi Corp. of Japan.

The Japanese general trading company first proposed Hyundai Engineering’s participation in the project as an EPC (engineering, procurement, construction) player. This proves Hyundai Engineering's power plant capabilities are globally recognized, the company said.
