A Precautionary Measure

Samsung Electronics' TV production line in Hungary

Samsung Electronics announced on March 25 that it will put on hold the operation of the TV production line at its Hungarian factory by March 27 to ensure employee health and safety and prevent the spread of the COVID-19 virus.

Earlier, the company decided to close its TV factory in Slovakia until March 29. With the suspension of the TV production line in Hungary, all of Samsung’s TV production lines in Europe have ground to a stop.

However, its electric appliance plant in Poland is operating normally, the company said.
