LS Group hosted “LS Partnership Day” on April 15 (local time) to seek cooperation for future growth with local investment companies, entrepreneurs, and researchers in Silicon Valley, California, in the U.S.

The event was attended by some 100 people including LS Group Chairman Koo Ja-yeol, LS Group CEO Lee Kwang-woo, LS Cable & System CEO Koo Jae-eun, and many Chief Technology Officers (CTO) from LS Cable & System, LS Industrial System (LSIS), LS MTRON, and DAESUNG Electric, as well as Silicon Valley venture capitalist associates and California State Government associates.

The LS Group chairman stressed that, “Our group has built a stable portfolio in electronics, materials, and energy fields, and is ready for a global leap. LS’s next big challenge is to create a new paradigm in the energy efficiency field.”

The group, on the heels of opening up a Silicon Valley Office in July 2013, hired an executive level officer for the local office, and is out to explore new business and futuristic technologies.

The group explained that they are seeing visible outcomes in the fields of IT-applied power transmission and distribution as well as state-of-the-art materials that withstand high temperatures.

Other CEOs and CTOs, together with the chairman, visited prominent companies and research institutes in the valley to evaluate their R&D efforts.
