Neil Road Branch Opens

Customers wait in a long line at the second Shake Shack store in Singapore, the Neil Road branch, on Feb. 7 (local time).

SPC Group announced on Feb. 9 that it has successfully opened the second shop of Shake Shack in Singapore, the Neil Road Branch, on Feb. 9.

On the opening day, more than 300 customers lined up more than 200 meters before the opening time of 7:30 p.m. (local time).

The Shake Shack Neil Road serves customers in an old-style atmosphere as it opened in a building on a street that keep’s Singapore’s history and culture in the 1900s. Soft lighting creates a dreamy atmosphere at night.

In addition to popular and well-known menus such as Shake Burger, Shock Stack and Smoke Shake, “Chick'n Shack,” a new menu which debuted in Singapore, gained popularity on the first day. Local customers also enjoyed "Open Sesame" and "Eye of the Tiger," the Neil Road branch’s signature ice creams.

In particular, SPC Group produces buns made with yeast developed by SPC Samlip and supplies them to its Singapore stores.

SPC Group struck a business agreement with Shake Shack Inc. of the United States in December 2015. Now, it is running 11 Shake Shack stores in Korea. Encouraged by its successful operation in Korea, the group obtained the right to run the stores in Singapore in October 2018. In April 2019, the Korean business group opened Singapore’s first Shake Shack store in Jewel Changi in Singapore.
