To Expand Blockchain Business in North America

Samsung SDS has forged an alliance with Syniverse of the United States to expand its blockchain business in North America, the company announced at CES 2020 in Las Vegas of the United States on Jan. 9 (local time).

Samsung SDS and Syniverse have agreed to develop a mobile payment platform that combines its blockchain platform “Nexledger” and Synverse's blockchain solution “Universal Commerce.” The two companies plan to introduce a system that supports remittance, settlement and payment via mobile devices using blockchains.

The two companies will jointly develop products in the areas of logistics, finance, travel, media and distribution and join forces in marketing these products in North America and other regions.

Syniverse provides communication solutions and services such as global network platforms and call charge settlement systems for telecom companies.
