Hanjin Heavy Industries announced on April 1 that it obtained three 180,000-ton bulk ship orders from multiple European shippers. The combined contact amount is approximately US$200 million.

The ships will be built in the Yeongdo Shipyard located in Busan City and then delivered in the first and second halves of 2016. The company won a total of 15 orders last year, including those for special ships. The large-scale orders obtained at this time are expected to contribute greatly to its corporate sustainability until 2016.

Hanjin Heavy Industries’ goal for this year is US$3 billion in orders, which is the same as last year. It is striving to stabilize its business by meeting this target.
