A Drone Platform for Photogrammetry
Kolon Global announced on Dec. 2 that it has signed a strategic business agreement with drone startup Carta to jointly develop smart construction technology using a drone platform.
Through this agreement, Kolon Global will provide Carta with infrastructure for technology development, including a test bed site, and jointly develop smart construction technology.
The Kolon Global R&D Center has been studying since 2016 ways to boost productivity by introducing drone photogrammetry to construction sites. From this year, the center has been focusing on introducing a cloud-based total drone platform to enhance drones’ usability for workers in the field.
Carta, a smart construction startup company that started at Seoul National University, nabbed the best prize of the 2018 Smart Construction Idea Contest organized by the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, and Transport.
