French consumers picked Samsung Electronics as their most loved brand for two consecutive years.
Samsung Electronics ranked first with 45.7 points in the 2019 French Brand Rating Index released by YouGov, a global public opinion and data company.
Decathlon, a French leisure goods brand, came in second with 43.0 points, followed by YouTube (42.4 points), Michelin (41.4 points) and Google (41.0 points).
YouGov conducted a survey on 225,000 adults in France for approximately 960 brands. The respondents gave each brand points between 100 and -100. YouGov averaged the points which each brand received.
Among the top 10 are seven French brands -- Decathlon, Michelin (tires), Doliprane (antipyretic analgesics), Christaline (bottled water), St. Michel (confectionery), Evian (bottled water) and Leroy Merlin (construction materials).
In particular, brand analysts say that Samsung has established a positive brand image among picky French consumers by ranking first for the second year in a row.
