Boy Genius Report (BGR), a weblog that specializes in technology and consumer gadgets, said on March 4 (local time) that Apple was granted a design patent for a next-gen iPhone.

According to the patent, the invention will have a bezel and home button-free design with a curved display. The volume will be adjusted by touching the volume control area at the left side of the device, rather than tapping volume control buttons.

BGR said, “While we’re unlikely to see this iPhone design used in the iPhone 6 or really any other iPhone over the next couple years, it does seem like something Apple might release in the future once flexible display technology matures.”
