‘Hero Firefighter Program’

S-OIL announced on Aug. 28 that it has presented 210 million won in scholarship to 70 children of fallen firefighters at Yongsan Fire Station. Each child received 3 million won.

S-OIL CEO Hussain Al-Qahtani asked the recipients of the scholarship to keep their late father's sacrifice and bravery to their heart and remember it whenever they face difficulties in their lives. “S-OIL promises to remain a reliable sponsor for the children of firefighters who died on duty,” he said.

S-OIL has been presenting scholarships to children of fallen firefighters since 2006 under the "Hero Firefighter Program." The scholarship is aimed at helping the children of overcome emotional trauma and focus on their studies.

S-OIL has provided a total of 3.6 billion won in scholarship to 1,259 students since 2006. The scholarship is provided to children of all ages to help them finish their education and become good citizens.
