Samsung Rated High for Innovation Capacity

Samsung Electronics was ranked fourth in the annual 2019 Most Innovative Tech Brands survey conducted by Brand Keys.

Samsung Electronics was ranked fourth in the annual 2019 Most Innovative Tech Brands survey conducted by Brand Keys, a New York-based brand loyalty and emotional engagement research consultancy.

This year, 5,127 U.S. consumers 16 to 65 years of age named companies and brands as technological innovators, assessed them to identify innovation-synergies, and rated each brand for its ability to deliver on innovation expectations.

The top three spots in this year’s rankings were taken by Amazon, CVS Health, and Slack. Samsung Electronics was the only company in the list that was not headquartered in the United States. It joined the Top 5 for the sixth consecutive year, confirming its position as a global innovative brand.

The Korean tech giant rose by one notch from last year. It placed second in 2014, third in 2015, fifth in 2016, second in 2017 and fifth in 2018.

There are only nine companies that made the top five at least once over the past five years. They include Amazon, Apple, Google, Netflix, Facebook, HBO, Microsoft and IBM, all of which are U.S. companies, and Samsung Electronics.

Earlier in March, Samsung Electronics was ranked 5th after Google, Amazon and Microsoft in the list of the top 50 global innovation companies in 2019 announced by Boston Consulting Group (BCG), a global management strategy consulting. In addition, the Derwent Top 100 Global Innovators 2018-19 announced by Clarivate Analytics, a global academic information service provider, included Samsung Electronics together with Intel, Qualcomm of the United States, Canon and Toshiba of Japan in the hardware and electronics sector.
