LG Household & Health Care delivered record high results in the second quarter of 2019. The Company reported 1.8 trillion won in sales, up 10.9 percent on year, 301 billion won in operating profit, a 12.8 percent increase on year, and 212 billion won in net profit, up 12.9 percent from a year ago.
Despite the persistent difficulties in all markets, the company's Beautiful Division, led by luxury products, achieved steady growth in both sales and operating profit.
Structural improvements enabled the Healthy Division to achieve growth in sales and operating profit.
Thanks to the good performance of major brands and favorable weather, the Refreshing Division also maintained stable growth. Both carbonated and non-carbonated drink sales grew.
Sales has increased for 55 quarters in a row since the third quarter of 2005, and operating profit has increased for 57 consecutive quarters since the first quarter of 2005.
The company posted the best first-half performance of all time. Sales increased 11.9 percent on year to 3.7 trillion won, operating profit increased 13.2 percent on year to 624 billion won, net income increased 13.9 percent on year to 437 billion won.
