LX, a state-run company specializing in cadastral data management, announced on July 25 that it would enter the Indonesian spatial information management market together with domestic companies with expertise in this field.

LX held a briefing session in Jakarta on July 24 on mapping out a master plan for the establishment and utilization of cadastral information infrastructure.

LX has formed a consortium with two Korean spatial information companies for this project, part of an Official Development Assistance (ODA) project promoted by the Korean Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transportation.

The LX-led consortium will conduct a survey on the status of cadastral data management in Indonesia, suggest a roadmap for building an advanced spatial information system, implement a pilot project for registering and utilizing cadastral data, and draw up a plan for strengthening the capabilities of Indonesian specialists by April of next year.
