LG Uplus announced on July 16 that the company would start a 5G roaming service with Elisa of Finland on July 19.
LG Uplus will offer a roaming service for customers using the V50 ThinQ smartphone from LG Electronics in cooperation with Elisa, a leading wired and wireless telecom operator in Finland with 6 million mobile subscribers. The service will allow customers to use data at 5G speeds in Finland.
LG Uplus will hold a free 5G roaming service event for customers leaving for Finland in commemoration of the service launch and release 5G roaming service monthly plans later.
LG Uplus plans to actively cooperate with major overseas mobile communication partners such as those in Europe and Asia to gradually expand the number of countries where LG Uplus users can enjoy 5G roaming services.
