A Korean Culture and Music Convention in New York

About 1,500 people from 70 countries participated in the "COVER STAR K with Toyota" event during KCON 2019 held at the Madison Square Garden and Jacobs K. Javits Convention Center from July 6-7.

Amazer, a global K-Pop video community platform, announced on July 17 that 1,500 people from 70 countries participated in the "COVER STAR K with Toyota" event during KCON 2019 held at the Madison Square Garden and Jacobs K. Javits Convention Center from July 6-7.

Cover Start K with Toyota is an event held at KCON, the largest Korean culture and music convention hosted by amazer and CJ E&M for the global K-Pop fans.

Applicants who won the event participated in the KCON 2019 NY's KCON concert free-show in person, and were given various prizes such as 1:1 meetings with stars and participation in the red carpet at the KCON 2019 NY.

Six teams of singers and dancers performed at the KCON NY Convention stage along with a live spot poll, with the surviving team performing on the KCON NY's M Countdown Concert Free-show Stage as well as having a 1:1 meeting with stars.

Amazer's major users are Z-generation prosumers (producer+consumer), who provide at least 300,000 reactions and cover videos per year.

Moreover, at least 96 percent of the users are in global K-Pop video communities overseas, which makes the mobile application indispensable for global expansion of K-Pop artists through collaboration events with artists such as MOMOLAND and MONSTA X.

KCON is on its 8th year since 2012, providing Mnet's K-Pop concerts as well as Korea's famous lifestyle content such as drama, beauty, fashion, and food to overseas fans.
