Korea Airports Corp. has taken home the Asia/Pacific Airport Operations Group Grand Prize for three consecutive years.

The corporation announced on July 4 that it won the grand prize at the 2019 Air Transport Research Study (ATRS) World Conference held at the Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam (the Free University of Amsterdam) in the Netherlands on July 3 (local time).

The company picked up the grand prize for the third consecutive year for its global competitiveness in key performance indicators such as airport operation efficiency and financial performance.

Jeju Airport and Gimhae Airport in Korea were also selected as the best airports among 38 Asian airports for the second consecutive year.

The jury gave high points to Korea Airports Corp. for successfully implementing large-scale facility construction, human resources management, and marketing while operating 14 regional airports across the country. In particular, they highly evaluated Korea Airports Corp. for efficiently operating unprofitable local airports to realize social value and vitalize regional economies.
