To Raise Employees’ Awareness of Accidents

Lotte Engineering & Construction (E&C) CEO Ha Seok-joo tries out VR equipment.

Lotte Engineering & Construction (E&C) announced on July 4 that it has organized a virtual reality-based safety education session for its employees, including the CEO and division heads, at its head office building in Seoul from June 27-28.

The builder conducted the VR experiential safety education program to raise employees’ awareness of safety and damage from disasters through indirect experiences with accidents based on VR technology.

The VR experience program made employees feel as if they were meeting with accidents such as falling scaffolds, electric shocks, getting caught in a machine and fires and taught them how to eliminate risk elements.

In addition, the participants experienced shocks on helmets, safety shoes and falling ladders.
