Samsung Put Atop Computer Reliability Report

Samsung Electronics has been recognized as a reliable desktop and laptop PC brand in the United States.

The company was ranked first in a recent computer reliability survey conducted by Rescuecom, a U.S. computer service franchise.

Rescuecom publishes the Computer Reliability Report on a regular basis based on the degree of failure of major electronic products, market share, and the number of repair requests. In the evaluation, Samsung won first place with a reliability score of 529 and a reliability rating of A+.

It was followed by Lenovo with 319 points and A-, Microsoft with 288 points and B+, Acer with 162 points and B-, and Apple with 92 points and C.

Samsung Electronics dropped to the second place in the survey conducted in the first half of last year, but it kept its lead after climbing to first place in the second half. Apple, on the other hand, went down to fifth place this year, after ranking third in the second half of last year.

Meanwhile, Samsung accounted for 6.4 percent of the U.S. PC market, ranking sixth after Lenovo (24.0 percent), HP (22.8 percent), Dell (17.0 percent), Acer (7.2 percent) and Apple (7.1 percent).
