To Lead Global Energy Industry
Korea Gas Corp. (KOGAS) announced on June 17 that the company has signed an energy research and technology development agreement with ExxonMobil, a U.S. energy company. The two companies concluded the agreement on the occasion of the G20 Environment and Energy Ministerial Meeting held in Karuizawa, Nagano, Japan from June 15-16.
The two companies agreed to build close relationships in sustainable energy and energy efficiency technologies and other common areas of interest.
"We will strengthen our cooperation with ExxonMobil, the largest energy company in the world, in preparation for global energy transformation. It will be a good opportunity to lead the future energy industry," a KOGAS official said.
KOGAS and ExxonMobil have been expanding exchanges since signing an R&D MOU on natural gas and new energy technology in 2015.
