SK Group Holds Global Forum to Recruit Core Talent

SK Group held the 2019 SK Global Forum in New Jersey and California of the United States on June 15 (local time).

SK Group has been holding the annual event since 2012 to recruit core talent in its major growth fields such as energy, chemicals and ICT. Each year, top executives of major SK affiliates participate in the forum.

This year, as in the past, the forum was attended by Kim Joon, president of SK Innovation, Lee Seok-hee, president of SK Hynix and some 50 executives from other affiliates including SK C&C, SK Telecom, SK Siltron and SK Biopharmaceuticals. Also on hand were about 300 experts including engineers of global companies and researchers with M.A. or higher degrees from academia and research institutes in the United States.

The East Forum was held at the Westin Jersey City Hotel in Jersey City, New Jersey under the supervision of Kim Joon. Participants discussed SK Innovation's next-generation batteries, high-performance automotive materials, carbon dioxide reduction technology, SK Holdings’ global investment, and new drug development by SK Biopharmaceuticals.

SK Hynix president Lee presided over the West Forum at the Hyatt Regency Hotel in San Francisco, California. Panel discussions and sectoral discussions focused on big data, semiconductors, artificial intelligence, cloud computing and other future industries.
