Residential Solar Power Projects Eligible for Subsidies

Hanwha Q CELLS' booth set up at the Shanghai New Energy Conference (SNEC 2018) in China last year

Hanwha Q CELLS announced on May 29 that it will introduce its residential solar modules at the Shanghai New Energy Conference (SNEC 2019) that will run at the Shanghai New International Expo Center from June 4 to 6. The event marks its 13th anniversary this year and is the world's largest solar photovoltaic exhibition that attract about 2,000 exhibitors and 260,000 visitors from around the world every year.

In this year's exhibition, Hanwha Q CELLS will exhibit the high-efficiency Q. Peak Duo series suitable for the residential solar power market. It was the only module brand to win an award at the InterSolar Award 2018, which is recognized as a prestigious award in the industry.

"The Chinese solar power market will show some signs of a recovery starting in the second half of this year when subsidies are provided to residential solar projects," a Hanwha Q CELLS official said. “In particular, a new subsidy system for residential photovoltaic power generation will trigger a rise in demand for high-efficiency products for residential use this year.”

The company will also showcase the high-power module Q. Peak Duo G6, which was launched in April; Q. Plus Duo which is used at large power plants; and the Q. Peak Duo G7, whose electrical out was sharply increased through an expansion of electric current bus bars. Meanwhile, in 2018, Hanhwa Q CELLS won the "Tera Watt Award" for the fourth consecutive year. The organizers of the SNEC gives the award to the top 10 companies in terms of technology and exhibition management ability.
