Galaxy Note Pride

Samsung Electronics’ Galaxy Note 10.1 released this year has been recognized as the world’s fastest tablet PC, beating out even Apple’s iPad.

A London-based IT magazine, which tested the speed of nine tablet PCs on the market by using the Geekbench application, announced on Feb. 3 that the Galaxy Note 10.1 scored 2,856 points to top the list. It was followed by the iPad (2,687) and the Asus Nexus 7 of (2,675). The iPad Mini Retina Display and the iPad 2 earned 2,512 and 502 points, respectively.

The magazine advised that not just the driving speed but also the battery capacity, storage capacity, and price should be considered when a tablet PC is to be purchased. Still, it also pointed out that the iPad Mini Retina Display and the iPad 2 were slower than their less expensive counterparts such as the Nexus 5 and Amazon’s Kindle Fire HD 8GB.
