Featuring a 360-degree Rotating Touch Display
The Samsung Notebook Pen S has received the highest score in U.S. Consumer Reports’s review of 15- to 16-inch laptops.
The 2019 edition of the Notebook Pen S, which was released by Samsung Electronics last year, ranked first with 84 points. Consumer Reports evaluated recently released 15- to 16-inch laptops. Second and third place were taken by the Apple MacBook Pro Touch Bar (15-inch) and the MacBook Pro 15-inch (2018). The Samsung Electronics Notebook 9 Pro (2018) claimed fifth place with 79 points.
The Notebook Pen S has a 360-degree rotating touch display that allows users to switch between the notebook mode and the tablet mode, and offers a handwriting experience with an S pen.
“The Samsung Notebook Pen S has a convenient setting for transformation from a laptop to a tablet and the stylus pen boosts user convenience,” Consumer Reports said. "The laptop model has a large storage and boosts its security with fingerprint and face recognition functions."
The Samsung Notebook Pen S weighs about 1.54 kilograms, the lightest among eight top-rated models. The Apple MacBook Pro is about 1.8 kilograms, the fourth-ranked HP Specter x360 about 2 kilograms, and the Samsung Notebook 9 Pro 1.7 kilograms.
