Aiming for the Global Healthcare Market

Carelabs, an online healthcare platform company under the Korean unicorn Yello Mobile, is strengthening its competitive edge in the Korean healthcare market by launching a one-stop medical service that combines IT and medical big data.

Carelabs is a well-known healthcare online to offline (O2O) company in Korea that operates the hospital information application “Goodoc” and beauty platform “Babitalk.” The company is pushing for other healthcare-related businesses, including hospital marketing and software development for medical institutions.

Carelabs' sales increased rapidly from approximately US$7 million in 2014 to US$47 million in 2018.

Goodoc, Carelab's main service, is planning to introduce a one-stop medical service that combines the company’s know-how and big data to allow users to make hospital appointments, issue mobile-based prescriptions, pay medical fees and file insurance claims.

Through this one-stop service, Carelabs expects to solve the information imbalance between users and medical professionals and provide more convenient medical services to its users. The company will continue to expand its business beyond Korea to the global healthcare market.

Meanwhile, DAYLI Blockchain, a smart city solution company affiliated with Yello Mobile, recently took over Carelabs and became the company’s largest shareholder. The two companies will cooperate to build a smart healthcare platform based on blockchain technology.
