Partnership for Development of Blockchain Industry

SOMESING, a Korean startup operating a blockchain-based karaoke app,  has signed a strategic partnership with CTIA, a Singapore-based blockchain consulting firm.

SOMESING, a Korean startup operating a blockchain-based karaoke app, announced on March 18 that it has signed a strategic partnership with CTIA, a Singapore-based blockchain consulting firm, to cooperate in healthy development of the blockchain industry.

CTIA is a consulting firm with branch offices in Japan and Switzerland. It aims to develop a healthy blockchain industry through the discovery and development of prospective blockchain projects around the world.

SOMESING said, "Through our partnership with CTIA, we have established a stable base to expand our global business on the basis of close cooperation with Blocknet and Switchnovate."

Kim Heui-bae, CEO of SOMESING, said, "Through strategic alliance with CTIA, we want to take the lead in healthy development of cryptocurrency and blockchain." He added, "CTIA, Blocknet and Switchnovate will help us expand our global business stably and steadily."

Blocknet, which is led by CEO Shinozaki Hironori, is a blockchain consulting firm in Korea with operations in both Korea and Japan. It is focusing on media consulting and is engaged in such business as due diligence (DD), blockchain, recruitment of IT talent and conference hosting.

Switchnovate is headed by Chia Hock Lai, president of the Singapore FinTech Association. It is a consulting firm that provides blockchain solutions in Singapore. Along with CTIA, Swichnovate is leading the growth of the blockchain industry in Singapore through the Token Economy Association (TEA). It educates clients on blockchain and provides a platform that supports the growth of the blockchain industry.

In particular, Chia Hock Lai visited the SOMESING booth at Hong Kong Blockchain Week on March 5 to try out SOMESING’s beta version app. He expressed a positive view about SOMESING, saying that SOMESING combined blockchain with real world service and that its service is actually generating active transactions in the ecosystem.

SOMESING’s beta version app, which was released on Feb. 28 on Google Play Store, incorporated the most important elements of a karaoke app: sound quality and sound effects, sound and voice sync, duet and video functions. Using ICON's test net, beta testing is in progress with active users. After reviewing the test results, SOMESING will check the improvements and prepare for the release of the full version soon after the release of the IOS version beta service in early April.

Through its karaoke app, which recorded more than 10,000 downloads in 10 days after release, SOMESING allows users to experience blockchain directly and indirectly. Ordinary users receive rewards and distribute them after singing and creating their own content.

About SOMESING's beta version test and user’s response, Blocknet CEO Shinozaki said, "Since SOMESING is actively generating transactions in the ICON network, we can expect stable blockchain application and ecosystem expansion through actualized DApp."
