Arthur D. Little placed Korea first in 5G commercialization among 40 countries around the world.

Korea ranked first in a global evaluation of 5G service commercialization.


Arthur D. Little, a global management consulting firm, placed Korea first in 5G commercialization among 40 countries around the world, KT said on March 6.

Korea was recognized for showing the world's first pilot 5G services during the PyeongChang Winter Olympic Games. In particular, the consulting firm rated Korea outstanding as a 5G leader based on analysis of technology infrastructure and services pertaining to 5G commercialization.

In the PyeongChang Olympic Winter Games, KT successfully demonstrated the world's first pilot 5G services as the main telecom service operator. During the global winter sports jubilee, KT got much attention from the world by introducing realistic 5G-based services such as time slices, Omni Views and Sync Views.
