Doosan Infracore announced on Feb. 4 that it has signed contracts with its clients in Uzbekistan to supply 47 units of construction machines such as excavators and wheel loaders. Before signing the deals, Doosan Infracore won a contract to supply 46 excavators and wheel loaders for mining and infrastructure and oil pipeline construction to Saudi Arabia.

The Uzbek clients are major corporate customers that have been purchasing and operating Doosan Infracore equipment.

High product quality and service capabilities helped the Korean heavy machinery maker landing the orders. Despite aggressive sales promotions such as price cuts by its competitors, Doosan Infracore succeeded in winning orders based on trust in equipment quality and good relationships with customers, a company official said.

The Central Asian nation is expected to place additional orders with Doosan Infracore as demand for railway construction equipment is increasing.

In Saudi Arabia, Doosan Infracore succeeded in winning orders with high-performance products and strong price competitiveness. Lately, demand from Saudi Arabia's construction machinery market has been increasing following the Saudi government’s announcement that it will expand fiscal spending and investment in infrastructure construction.
