Samsung Display announced on Feb. 27 that it will supply curved monitor panels to the business to business (B2B) market. It plans to increase the sales of curved monitor panels to 10 million units from 7 million units last year.
Samsung Display has released the world's first curved monitor panel in 2014 and currently supplies 10 different types, ranging from a 23.6 inch model to a 49 inch product, to China, Taiwan and Japan.
The curved monitor has been selling well with increasing demand for gaming and large screen.
The curved surface design shortens the sight movement between the center and the edge of the screen, helping users concentrate better. A high refresh rate enables continuous screen transition. In addition, the curved surface design effectively reduces de-focusing effect and inconvenience of multitasking that may occur in a large screen.
