For Cooperation Across All Sectors in Gas Industry

Korea Gas Corp. (KOGAS) announced on Feb. 27 that it has signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with Abu Dhabi National Oil Corp. (ADNOC) of the United Arab Emirates (UAE) in order to expand cooperation in oil and gas field development and LNG marketing.

A signing ceremony was held at Hotel Shilla in Seoul on Feb. 27 with the attendance of Kim Young-doo, acting president of KOGAS, and Sultan Ahmed al Jaber, minister of state of the United Arab Emirates and director-general and CEO of ADNOC, and other officials from the two companies.

The two companies will cooperate in various fields such as oil and gas exploration in the Abu Dhabi region of the UAE, development, production and sharing of oil and gas field technology and natural gas processing, liquefaction, LNG marketing and exchanges of transportation information.

"We hope that this MOU will lay the foundation for exploring diverse business opportunities across all sectors of the gas industry together with ADNOC in the UAE, the fifth largest oil exporter to Korea," Kim said.
